Sarah Cook

Sarah’s believes in teaching a practice rooted in the clarity of strong alignment which inherently gives rise to more freedom and healing in the body and in the spirit. The first time she stepped foot on the mat was simply in an effort to stay out of trouble and lose a few pounds. Since that day in 2006, she has kept her love affair with yoga passionately alive with a healthy balance between self discipline and self exploration. She loves to teach a challenging flow. Expect the unexpected, perhaps some humor and often some irreverence.

Sarah is a 500 hour Jivan Yoga certified teacher and has completed an advanced training with Ana Forrest but she remains an eternal student.

Sarah Cook instructs the following:
  • Hot Vinyasa 2 [h]
  • [h] Heated.

Turn up the heat on your favorite flow class. Hot Vinyasa is held in a heated room warms your body for deeper opening and cleansing. The muscles, tendons and ligaments may become supple as you work to sweat out toxins. All levels of practitioners are welcome, but those with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory disorders, eating disorders, sleep deprivation, or pregnancy should consult their doctor first about the safety. Please bring a water bottle and a towel.

  • Vinyasa Yoga 2
  • Perhaps the most popular style practiced in the West, these classes keep you moving! You’ll flow continuously through strong sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement and work to build strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility. In Sanskrit vinyasa means “to place in a special way,” and that informs the graceful dance that is a well-planned vinyasa sequence. When you hit that sweet spot and the endorphins kick in, a pushup suddenly becomes an exercise in weightlessness—you glide, you float, you sail into a blissful final relaxation. Now you get the hype, right?

Level 2, or 2 Diamond, classes are suitable for intermediate students. The basic postures are expanded to include more difficult variations and may be described with less detail. The class will flow at a faster pace and the asanas will be held longer. The classes introduce more advanced breathing techniques and concepts in yogic philosophy including the energetic body.

  • Vinyasa Express 2
  • Is finding 90 minutes in your day for yoga a challenge? No worries - we offer Vinyasa Express: A condensed, fast paced vinyasa practice with an upbeat vibe. Lengthen, strengthen, tone and breathe, getting the most out of your practice in just 60 minutes of mindful effort.
