Lisa Dubaj

Lisa Dubaj’s yoga style brings together key components of fitness, such as cardiovascular endurance and strength training while staying with the traditional form of Vinyasa yoga. Her sequences are simply structured; leaving room for students to explore and expand their personal practice. She aims to teach a class that is physically challenging, emotionally supportive and FUN. Lisa completed her 200 hour teacher training with Kim Manfredi at Charm City Yoga. Beyond yoga training, she earned her degree from Florida State University in Nutrition & Fitness and is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Instructor. Lisa’s background in dance and gymnastics helps her to identify and correct body alignment. Her yoga philosophy is straightforward; create space in your life for a consistent yoga practice. She believes that developing a regular yoga routine helps cultivate a life of gratitude, health and happiness. And, that yoga provides an environment for the mind to determine the things that are important, beneficial and good for you; focusing on the positive and letting go of the negative. Finally, that yoga improves flexibility, strength, confidence, mental clarity and relieves stress. Lisa is a wife, mother of two, and small business owner. She is passionate about being a healthy rolemodel for her family and friends.

Lisa Dubaj instructs the following:
  • Hot Yoga Express 2 [h]
  • Hot Vinyasa is a vigorous yoga and the signature style of Charm City Yoga. The room is heated to body temperature so your body is warmed, allowing for deeper stretching. The muscles, tendons and ligaments become soft and more flexible. The heat promotes sweating which is a method of cleansing to aid in the healing aspects of this yoga style. All levels of practitioners are welcomed. Please bring water and a towel.
Level 2, or 2 Diamond, classes are suitable for intermediate students. The basic postures are expanded to include more difficult variations and may be described with less detail. The class will flow at a faster pace and the asanas will be held longer. The classes introduce more advanced breathing techniques and concepts in yogic philosophy including the energetic body.

  • Gentle Yoga 1
  • Gentle Yoga focuses on deep relaxation, rejuvenation and healing. It promotes physical and mental fitness through poses, breathing exercises, guided imagery and meditation. For all levels and ages, especially those new to yoga or seeking a soothing practice.

Level 1, or 1 Diamond, classes are suitable for beginners who are looking for a slower paced, more descriptive experience. The class will help you develop body awareness, learn the basic postures (asanas) and their modifications. The emphasis on proper alignment will help you build strength slowly and safely. Learn yogic breathing and how to link breath with movement. Have fun in this informative class.

  • Core Flow 2
  • This powerful and effective flow fusion class is a hybrid of yoga and core strengthening moves. Our core is our center physically, emotionally, and mentally. Stoking the fire in our belly, creating strong abs and a strong spine is vital to being healthy. Planks and all kinds of ab and spine strengthening moves will stimulate the prana in your navel center. Focus is on deep abdominal work along with upper and lower body strengthening and lengthening. This class is an excellent complement to your regular yoga practice. It is not heated.
